Linear gradient filter is a wedge filter, which has the advantages of small volume, high light efficiency and high signal-to-noise ratio.
The spectral characteristics change continuously along a dimension direction of the filter. A gradient filter can replace multiple fixed filters, and the center wavelength or edge wavelength can be adjusted by sliding the filter. A band-pass filter can be obtained by superimposing a linear gradient long-pass filter and a linear gradient short-pass filter, or two linear gradient filters can be superimposed to achieve depth cutoff.
